Cake Week: Double Happiness Cake

Cake #3: Double Happiness (symbols at the top of the cake) is for an Asian Wedding in red and white colors. All the cake pieces are using the Big Shot Texture Plate: dots for texture. The Eyelet boarder punch is used on each 1-1/4" high cake layer. Hearts are punched from the smallest heart using the Heart to Heart Punch.

Below is back of the cake. Note the base of the cake is the Big Shot Scallop Circle die + holes from using the piercer.

  • Stamps: none
  • CS: Real Red, Whisper White
  • Ink: none
  • Accys: Big Shot: Textured Plates Background #1, Scallop Circle Die, 3-D Pop Up Cake, Double Happiness Punch (non SU), Piercer, Organdy Ribbon (non SU), Sticky Tape, Heart to Heart Punch, Eyelet Boarder Punch.

WOW! Awesome cake. How did you cut out the asian symbol? Or is it a die cut? My husband and children have been training in Tae Kwon Do for years and I would love to use asian symbols in their scrapbook.

This is a message for Kellygrl27:
The asian symbol is a punch. I believe you can find this on ebay. I got mine while in Hong Kong several years ago. A little note: It doesn't punch through card stock - only lightweight paper.
