Dandelion Long Life Birthday Card

Here's my first card using a Asian word: Long Life (Shou) cut from SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot). I scanned an available word, then converted the file to inkscape, then did a "save as" for SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot)..........fancy word and my first try. This word will become very useful for birthday ocassions. I love this card and also gave it to Eunice when I met up with her early this Summer. This card is simple for the cards she is so famous for making on her blog: http://www.astarforchiemi.blogspot.com/

To make this card, you will need:

Card Front: Attach DSP to front. Secure 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, attach dimensionals. Attach dimensionals to the back of the Lacey Circle as shown. The inside message is stamped and has a single knotted grosgrain ribbon attached by using a mini glue dot.

Card inside: To get the 3D effect, slits were cut as shown. No exact measurements for the slits given - note: these can be as long or short according to the inside card embellishments. (This card is about 3/4" long)

Train the cut pieces by folding them, as shown:

Push cut sections outward:

Adhere one side of card first, then fold over to repeat for the other side.

Copics used:

Stamp message using Cherry Cobbler ink. I used a stamp positioner - I couldn't get it straight - urgh!!!!
