Peeking Poinsettia card

The fifth card from the Merry and Bright Collection from SVGcuts.com using the SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) program to cut all the pieces . You are just going to love the cards that will be posted...........especially a couple more with poinsettias. I've seen a lot of poinsettias both as stamps and as dies, the ones in the Merry and Bright Collection are the very best!!! They are so realistic! The pink contrast adds a pop of color to the card. The DSP is a retired frm SU that I've just gotta use.........along with many other SU SAB 6x6 packs..........which have been used here. Finished card size: 5-1/8" x 7".....and, of course, an envelope is included as a cut file in the collection.

Is this the most beautiful Poinsettia you have ever seen? It is all cut using the SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) program. Sponge edges of the leaves and the DSP with Close to Cocoa ink. The leaf shapes are so realistic and by adding the DSP to each edge, the poinsettia is even more dramatic. Each layer of the poinsettia is popped with dimensionals. The final touch: Yellow Stickles!!!!

Emboss the leaf, sponge edges with Close to Cocoa ink, then adhere the Old Olive DSP (also sponged with Close to Cocoa ink) using a 2 way Glue Pen.

Card inside: sponge the edges of the vanilla card stock with Close to Cocoa ink.

Did you like this one?

  • CS: Pink and Red Paper Company, SU Old Olive, SU Riding Hood Red, Recollections Vanilla, Misc. DSP

  • Ink: Close to Cocoa

  • Accys: Cuttlebug Swirl Embossing Folder, Sponge Dauber, 2 way Glue Pen, Yellow Stickles, Dimensionals

Hanukkah Card

The fourth card from the Merry and Bright Collection from SVGcuts.com is a Hanukkah Card. It turned out pretty good. Let the SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) program do all the cutting for you and all you have to do is assemble. Love it!!! This card doesn't use too much pattern paper at all.Finished card size: 5-1/2" x 5-1/2". And, no worries, because an envelope is ALWAYS included in the collection for every card...........cool, eh? All edges are inked with Close to Cocoa ink........it seems to be the "go to" color for inking the edges.

After adding a dot texture to the card face, Stardust Stickles applied to the dots for added bling. Instead of adding fabric rose embellishments to the side of the card (as shown in the original sample from the collection), a 1/2" Blue grosgrain together with a silver elastic cord finishes off the card.

The star is cut, then adhered to the shimmery white background using a 2 way glue pen.

Here's a closer view: image is popped with Fiskars Square Mini Pop-ups (they were small enough to be positioned behind the candelabra). The candles are using a Shimmery White card stock.

Card inside:

Supplies:

  • CS: SU Ballet Blue, SU Bashful Blue, White, SU DSP (retired), SU Shimmery White

Cardinal Ice Skating Card

The third card from the Merry and Bright Collection from SVGcuts.com is the Cardinal Ice Skating Card...............a shaped card cut using SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) that is so quick and simple to assemble. The cardinal is popped with dimensionals. After the wing is embossed, it is popped with dimensionals , too. The eye is not included in the cut file - just use either a pen or a 1/8" handheld punch, then adhere using 2 way glue pen. So easy and effortless!!!! Finished card size 5" x 6". Does anyone recognize that retired SU DSP paper (yup, the one where there was that fabulous red and white flocked paper!!!!)?

The boots of the skates are partially embossed with SU Square Lattice embossing folder, the skate was left blank to add Stardust Stickles.

Add Stardust Stickles around the inside card edge and also the outside card edge.....some subtle bling!!!

The snowflake background is sponged with Close to Cocoa ink, then Stardust Stickles is added along the edges. Adhere to the card with a 2 way Glue Pen.

Card inside: Decorative label (also included in the cut file collection) is sponged with Close to Cocoa ink. Write or stamp your message here.

This is the last of the five projects from Santa's Visit from SVGcuts.com. Yup, this collection has five projects which are now completed and posted. The drum is really sturdy and can hold a bag of treats for the giving! This project only needs a few amount of supplies to make so give it a try!

Another project from the SVG Cut file collection Santa's Visit from SVGcuts.com using my SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) program. This Quick Box is the perfect size: 4-1/4" x 3" x 2-3/8" ( at the bottom) and 3" (at the top). I love how Mary used twine to wrap around the brads - Gold thread is used for my project. To give this box a vintage look, most of the edges are sponged using SU Close to Cocoa ink. DSP used around the box is from my large stash of Holiday paper...............little by little, my paper stash is finally being used.

Stamp, Santa, and Santa's nose are popped with dimensionals. Eyes are made using a black pen. use SU Sahara Sand to lightly sponge the beard edge.

Bottom half of the box are three paper buttons using SU Button Embosslit, then a gold pen for the "thread". Add a stamped message as a final touch.

Edges of the hat are sponged with SU Close to Cocoa. Beard and eyebrows are sponged with SU Sahara Sand. Cheeks are made by using a dauber...........pounce lightly to get the desired color.
