Oval Accordion Heart Cupcake Marci Birthday Card

I got a chance to use the Elizabeth Craft Oval Accordion die.  Love the effect of this accordion card.  The oval cupcake paper is cut using my Silhouette. I wanted the oval to be slightly larger than the die enclosed in the Accordion die set.  It was easy to make using the Silhouette Oval tool in the program. Base card is using Brown card stock, each panel is a pattern paper (oh so old from my stash).  Cupcake ovals papers are also from my old stash of papers. Finished card size (all folded up) is 5-1/2" c 4-1/4". La-la Land Crafts Flag Banner die is used to embellish each top section of this card.
This is the card "flat" before connecting section one and two.
Left section: "Happy B'day" is cut using my Silhouette - fits so perfectly in this oval.
The cupcake is from a pattern paper: punch using a 1" circle, then punch 1-1/4" brown card stock.
Center section: Heart Cupcake Marci found here. She is a digital stamp that is sized to 3" and fits perfectly in the oval section. She is colored using Copic pens ,then popped with foam squares.
Copic colors used:
Hair: W2, W4, W6, W8
Face Arms, Legs:  E0000, E00, E11, R20
Dress, Shoes, and Hair Bows: BV000, V12, V15, V17
Cupcake: R20, W2m E35, E37, E39, E47
Mail: W3, W1
Plus Wink of Stella Clear on the cupcake, mail, cupcake tops
On each panel are die cut banners:

Coloring Marci Birthday Card

This A2 Birthday card is using the La-la Land Crafts Coloring Marci found in their on line store here. She is a digital stamp which was printed then colored using Copic pens. And because she is a digital image, her headband can be cut using my Silhouette Cutting machine. It was simple to do: import the image, then trace, then release compound path, remove the headband section on the mat, position paper, then cut..  Cool!!!!   The May 2015 Club La-la Land Celebrate You Marci dies were used to embellish this card.  Paper used is from my stash (paper is oh - so old!)
Copic Colors used:
Hair and Shoe: W2, W4, W6, W8
Headband: paper pieced
Face and hands: E000, E00, E11, R20
Tablet: Y12, Y23, Y24
T-Shirt: V91
Jumper: R31, R81, RV11, V12, V15

Note: Time Flies Marci’s eyeglass and watch has Ranger’s Glossy Accents. A Cog with a brad was added to the watch before the Glossy Accents dried – perfect to hold this embellishment in place.
Left side easel:
Can you find all the dies used on this easel?  Hot Air Balloon, (cut twice), Wings (cut twice), Large Lacey Boarder and Wrought Iron Fence, and the Stitched Scallop Border (cut using decorative paper)…..whew! Final embellishment are two pearlized stick pins from Maya Road.  Last task: add Time Flies Marci with popped foam squares.
There are five metal cog embellishments – Rangers black alcohol ink used to distress them.
To hold up the easel, A cluster of paper flowers where stems are rolled around the end of a small brush.  Paper roses sit on top of cotton lace and woven twill tape.
Right side easel:
Focal point is the Steampunk Clock embellished with black adhesive stones.  In the center are metal embellishments along with a brad.  Black alcohol ink used to distress the metal. The other half of the Angel Wing is peeking out on the right easel side.  Peeking out underneath the Steampunk Clock are pieces of the Steampunk Heart Cogs.
A folded bow with a button is attached on the right side.
Front of box:
Lift up the lid to reveal the inside:
Front panel is embellished with randomly positioned Steampunk Heart Cogs.
The shaped drawer has a special metal pull. Use Ranger’s Black Alcohol Ink to distress the metallic pieces to be the same color.  Brads hold the Filigree Metal in place.
Box side: half of the Stitched Oval (from the Stitched Elements die set) is attached to box side with a Filigree metal embellishment that was cut in half.  The Large Lacy Border wraps around the side of the box towards the back.
Box back:  From the side the Large Lacy Border ends short of the half circle.  The doily is a nice touch to feminize this box.  The other part of the doily is on the box top (barely peeking out from the lace).
Underside of box: four wooden feet which have been painted black.  Black card stock added to the underside of the box.

Asian Block Box Marci with Lantern

La-la Land Workshop 2 day workshop Project #10 :
Original design for this project is using Baby Luka stamped image with a variety of soft colored pattern papers looking very much like a patchwork quilt or Stacked Baby Blocks – great for any baby shower or a newborn. Although I love the Baby version, my vision was to create this project with Marci with Lantern using some Washi Paper (in Red, Black and Gold – my favorite colors!).  This was fun to re-create with a Asian flair.

Most of the labor for this project is the task of cutting 22 double matted squares. Once they are assembled, the project does come to life quickly.  Washi paper can be purchased from Hanko Designs here.
Project was assembled, then a Black marker as used to cover the natural color of the paper board.  On the front of this project, Marci with Lantern is popped with foam squares on top of the Stitched Oval (part of the Stitched Elements die set).  Cherry Blossoms die and Open Leaf Flourish die embellish each side of the image. Stamp and dies can be found in the La-la Land Crafts store here.
Copic colors used:
Hair and Shoes: W2, W4, W6, W8
Face: Face: E000, E00, E11, R20, R39
Clothes:Y15, Y19, Y21, R01, R22, R27, R35, R46, E50
And, oh yes Marci’s outfit has hand drawn blossoms on a white background to match the Washi paper used on the box. Finished project size is: 6” x 6” x 2-1/8”
Those red wire things?  Those are Japanese paper Strings which can be purchased from Hanko Designs here. Cut the strings to length and wrap around the end of a small paint brush for this effect.
Close up of the Cherry Blossom flowers:
Side view:
More Cherry Blossoms:
The best part of this project is the “secret” drawer on the right side that pulls out. Cherry Blossoms die used for the drawer pull. The blossoms are spritzed with water, crumpled, allowed to slightly dry, then opened. Cherry Blossoms are adhered to several layers of a  ¾” circle which is them popped with foam squares.
Outside of the drawer is covered in Black card stock. Inside drawer is covered is Red card stock, then embossed with Cuttlebug Asian Cherry Blossom embossing folder.
On the back of the project, a few more Cherry Blossoms and Open Leaf Flourish embellish each side of the oval.
Underneath the box are four wooden feet painted black, adhered to Black card stock (no photo).  Thank you for stopping by to visit today. Stay tuned for the final project from the 2 day La-la Land Workshop. It is absolutely fabulous!!!!

Garden Marci Shadow Box Card

La-la Land Crafts 2 day Workshop Project #9:
This card is extremely special – the special shape, the details, the image: everything about it is just wonderful.  Thank You, Irina for designing such a fabulous card.  It was truly a joy to assemble.  Card front inside the shadowbox: Note the die cut Picket Fence popped up with foam squares and couple “dots” of Gold Viva Pearl Pen.  LOVE the inside frame double mat papers used.Opening (shadow box) is 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” x 3/8”.  Finished project size: 6-1/2” x 6-1/2” x ¾”.  More details about this project in the photos below.

Garden Marci is popped with foam squares.
In the top left and bottom right corners, are a couple Open Leaf Flourish lightly sponged with brown ink and a couple “dots” of Gold Viva Pearl Pen.  There are three Cherry Blossoms: spritz with water, crumple, allow to slightly dry, then open – don’t forget to add the matched stamens (not sure HOW Irina was able to find matching stamens).  Add a little sponging of Ranger Distress Inks to match on the flower edges makes them ever so realistic, too. Also in the top left corner are two die cut Flag Banners: one is solid color card stock, top banner is pattern paper offset to show off the solid color underneath.
Card front, right side has a Tall Birdhouse with a butterfly, and at the bottom right corner is a a popped up Pot of Flowers from the Love to Garden die set.
Bottom left corner of the shadowbox opening is a neatly tied bow with a cute button, adhere using mini glue dots.
Here's a side view. The hinge for this card: even in this small area, paper is used to decorate the open space.  Love it!!!
Open the card to reveal: the top (underside of the front) is nicely matted to hide the mechanics of the shadowbox.   Nice touch!
Card inside for a personal message: how sweet can it be to receive this and also get a decorate card inside?  A heart flower pot from the Love to Garden die set and part of the Picket Fence (cut off from the front).  The graph design paper is perfect for this card, too.
Back of card: let’s not forget the back………….how cute it is to have another Tall Birdhouse die cut to adorn the back of the card?
Thank you for stopping by to visit today.  Stay tuned for more amazing projects from the 2 day La-la Land Crafts workshop.
